Hi, I'm Eli, a handsome Rottweiler mix who is in need of a new home due to a move out-of-state and I can't go along too.

I did great living with the 18 month old. I love other dogs and I have a submissive play style. I've attended doggie daycare and did great there. I'm not a fan of cats/squirrels and I can jump a 6 ft fence to chase them. I often return by jumping back over the fence. I'll need a taller fence that can keep me out of trouble.

I enjoy balls, trips to the beach and belly rubs. I'm a happy, energetic boy who has some separation anxiety, but it's gotten better over time. I've had formal training and know basic commands.

I can be protective and don't care for when men approach my mom when she takes me out on solo walks when no one else is around on the street. I'll growl and stand in front of her. I'm ok when other people are around and the street is busy or crowded.

I rarely bark at home, but will bark when people approach the front door. Once new people are introduced properly outside, I have no problem with them entering the house. In general I am aloof with new people, but I warm up quickly. I didn't come up right away to the C.A.R.L. volunteer that I met, but after a while I was passing right by the volunteer and coming up for sniffs without a care.
